Auxiliary stabilizing additives
  • pH-Buffer - alkaline acidity regulator

pH Buffer - is an alkaline buffer. Used as a pH regulator in water-based fracturing fluids, it is necessary to maintain the pH of the cross-linked gel, especially at high temperatures (>100° C). The chemical must be fed on the fly along with the cross-linker. It is not allowed to supply the chemical in tanks with water. To achieve stability of a cross-linked gel under high temperature conditions, it is recommended to select a chemical concentration until the pH of the cross-linked gel is 9.7 - 10.7 for temperatures of 100 - 120° C, for higher temperatures, the chemical concentration is adjusted for pH until pH of 11 - 11.5 is reached.

  • SG-HT - oxidation retarder

SG-HT is an anhydride oxidation retardant that provides stable rheological properties at temperatures above 175° F (80° C). The recommended dosage depends on the weight of the polymer. Under normal conditions, it ranges from 10-50%. The usual dosage is from 25%. The substance is very effective at elevated temperatures (from 300° F / 148.9° C) with chemically modified guars (such as hydroxypropylguar, carboxymethylhydroxypropylguar). SG-HT is water soluble. Firstly the customer has to carry out tests in specific conditions.

  • SGL-1 - salt stabilizer

SGL-1 – a new innovative water-based gel stabilizer for fracturing fluid. It allows to stabilize the viscosity of the cross-linked gel using water with high salt content. As a rule, a high salt content makes the cross-linked gel unsteady at the reservoir temperature. This chemical does not allow to react the ions contained in salt water with the cross-linker, thereby stabilizing the rheology of a gel.

  • EB-A - breaker accelerator

EB-A - oxidizing accelerator of the gel viscosity reducer. If treatment is performed in wells with downhole temperatures below 120° F (49° C), the oxidizing breakers such as WGB-1, WBCap-LT, WBCap-HT should be activated with ÅÂ-À product. Typically oxidizing breakers such as WGB-1 operate when the downhole temperatures exceed 120° F (49° C), however, if they used together with ÅÂ-À product, oxidizer is catalyzed to operate at temperatures up to 10° C and even at lower temperatures. Optimal breakers concentrations should be determined by the results of the lab testing, as their activity is determined by not only with the concentration, but also by the formation temperature, the quality of a gel, a fluid formulation.

  • ÀÌÀ–35-DP - bactericide

AMA-35-DP is a dry bactericide to prevent bacterial contamination of water-based solutions containing biopolymers (Guar and its derivatives). For the greatest effect, it is recommended to add it to the water before preparing the biopolymer solution.
